How do I enable history tracking for Volunteer Status field in Salesforce?

History tracking is used to see all the changes happened for a particular field in Salesforce
Please follow the instructions below for enabling the history tracking for Volunteer Status field
  • Login to Salesforce as Administrator
  • Click on Setup and go to Object Manager list
  • Search for Volunteer Status in the Quick find box and click it
  • Go to Fields and Relationships from the list
  • Search for Status,
  • Click the Set history tracking button
  • Select Status on the Volunteer Hours field history
  • Click the save button to save it
  • Once you have made these changes, click on Details in the list on the left hand side of the screen
  • Click Edit
  • Enable "Track Field History" and Save it
  • After saving the Track field history, go to page layouts and add "Volunteer Hours History" to the related tab and save it.
  • You can now see all the changes for the Volunteer Status in the volunteer Hours tab under related list in Salesforce.
